Profane Existence Records was founded in 1989 to release records by political and punk bands from around the world. Successful early releases, like NAUSEA’s Extinction LP and DOOM’s Police Bastard EP, helped establish Profane Existence as one of the most widely known and highly respected DIY punk labels anywhere in the world. More than 20 years and over 100 releases on, Profane Existence Records continues to champion music with a social-political conscience and push for greater inclusion of all people within the DIY / underground punk movement.
WHERE TO BUY?
Profane Existence releases are available from the bands themselves, mom and pop record stores and in DIY distro bins worldwide. If you can not find our releases in your area, then we recommend that you order them through Profane Existence Distro, the direct mailorder and wholesale arm of the Profane Existence Collective. While most PE releases are available on CD and/or vinyl formats, a select few are also available via digital download. Of course our music releases are also commonly traded through various pirate and torrent sites around the world. While we love the fact that people find our message worthy enough to spread, we do hope you will support the bands on our label by buying their releases or going to their gigs.
