There is no future…but this is it.

Welcome.

After some serious discussion about how to move forward with Profane Existence Magazine, we decided that in order for Profane Existence to continue it had to evolve. That means that Profane Existence will no longer produce a print zine. We are not interested  in presenting this as a “webzine” either, but rather as a resource. We will have the interviews, columns, reviews, recipes, featured artists, news, letters and all the things you’ve come to expect from Profane Existence Magazine, but with none of the limitations involved in doing a print zine.

Perhaps more importantly we will post information as it becomes available, not just quarterly, or when we have the funds, or the time to layout and print.

There will be more fun things happening here, but it’s for you to discover.

Cheers and up the punks!!

  1. Are you all perhaps planning to do something similar to the PDF back-issues that are in your webstore? Regardless, keep up the good work. PE is an inspiration to us all.

    • PE is currently running by a very small skeleton staff of paid workers (mainly to keep the distro going) and everything else is done by volunteers (I’m one of them). If we can find time to reformat more back issues to PDF files we’ll do it, but right now we’re concentrating on setting up the web zine.

      • Dude, it’s not a webzine…heh heh heh.
Old issues are almost always popping up on Ebay and a ton of distros and shops have loads of back issues, more than we do actually. If we have some time in the future we might get to posting some of the old stuff, but really we’re focused on looking ahead.

  2. I’m really happy so far with this site and the change to digital.
I would also like to see the back issues up as PDFs. The issues that appear on Ebay sometimes go for over $30.
I will see about scanning what I have, but I can’t do the tabloid-sized issues.
